Here's what you bring to the table.

We are looking for a Sofware Engineer who is energized by ambitious but clear goals and intrigued by challenging the status quo. Why is legacy software implemented the way it is? Can we envision software architectures that could handle x100 the size of today’s workloads? How can we come up with creative solutions that not only meet the issue at hand, but even unlock new possibilities the business hadn’t even thought of?

Responsibilities.

  • Contribute to Breed Bio’s software platform by designing, writing, testing and reviewing high quality code.
  • Own, contribute to or at least partake in architectural discussions to ensure the vision of the platform and its capabilities are aligned.
  • Proactively collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deeply understand requirements.
  • Put in the effort to learn about our domain, slowly but certainly becoming an expert in breeding techniques and workflows.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our technology stack or development processes.

Requirements.

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrable itch to strive for success, take ownership, and create real impact.
  • Experience or eagerness to dig into our stack mainly consisting of the latest in .NET Core, Angular and Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues in a distributed environment.
  • Opinionated about technology choices across front-end, back-end or infrastructure stacks.
  • Ability to find the right balance between over- and under-engineering, creating and paying off technical debts at the right moments in time, aligned with the needs of the business.
  • Fluency in English - we serve an international market and most often use English internally as well.
  • High standards and expectations - for yourself, for your colleagues, for the tech stack, tools and peripherals you work with on a daily basis, and for the company’s vision, mission and ability to execute.
